We get a lot of questions about the machinability of SM-100.  Some of our customers have done much more machining work than we have, but at this point, as long as you use good carbide tooling and proceed carefully, we haven’t seen any issues whatsoever.

In this video, you can see Jim turning a bearing housing completely dry (yes, no coolant at all).  For your reference he turned the bore at about 120 RPM and this tight groove at about 40 RPM.
