We’ve always been proud to call Scott Devanna (Specialty Metals) a friend, but to call him a SM-100 customer now is pretty special too.

We’ve fielded a lot of questions lately about the status of our Dama-Ti(TM) – so here is an update.  It hasn’t moved as fast as we had hoped because we’ve been pretty busy lately, but progress has been made.  The picture below shows the basic concept, although this example is a little odd – it is Ti-6Al-4V bolts encased in a CP Ti matrix.

The possibilities are endless, think of logos for knife scales or whatever else you can dream up.  We’re pretty excited about it and will be putting in a bit more effort into it over the next 2-months.  Let us know if you have any ideas and thanks for the patience and support.

We’re proud to say that Dalibor Bergam became our first SM-100 customer from Croatia.

We recently had several success stories with using SM-100 as valve seats and other valve components (balls, bodies, etc.).  The relatively low modulus provides superior sealing while the superelasticity and wear resistance lead to very long life spans for the valve components.  And of course the fact that they will never corrode is also critically important.
